Hi,

we are a small independent validator and our resources and involvement are pretty much as described in the initial post. Our marketing reach is within our Kusama and Polkadot nominators. While we cant provide the services as professional staking services, we are aiding to decentralization and governance as the small independent validator

understood.
are u able to provide more details or context to the "additional value" you mentioned - particularly interested in getting some ideas - i.e. whether you can provide educational content and exposure to bifrost liquid staking to your community and users such that they understand the value add and the strategic component liquid staking brings to the ecosystem and to DeFi etc.
cheers.

Hi,

as the validator we are often getting questions from the users asking us about our service. So far we have mostly guided users to either stake directly or to use nomination pools instead. We would gladly add and explain the liquid staking option to the users.

For the Polkadot users, 28 day unstaking period may be a too long to wait so I believe users that seek liquidity are the ones that are the potential users of the Bitfrost liquid staking services. We will gladly explain the liquid staking service for the users but we will have to abstain from directly recommending for users to use liquid staking it as we are not financial advisors and it is not in our working domain.

Beside this we may have some interest in providing liquidity to vGLMR or vMOVR pools.

hey, thanks for the context.
in this regard and based on the former , can we have more quantitative/qualitative info for these points.

** resources around explaining liquid staking options to your users and community**

  • how would this be achieved? how will you explain Bifrost liquid staking services? through what medium-channel? in what recurrence?
  • what and how many activities are you will to do within your community as part of this guide-educational initiative?

providing liquidity - minting vtoken volume

  • are you willing to provide liquidity to vGLMR , vMOVR and also other vtokens like vKSM , vDOT?
  • What's the approximate amount of liquidity you are interesting in providing?

many thanks for taking the time in providing these details.

in advance, wishing you a lovely new year.

@TPP

We are mostly interested in providing liquidity through the vGLMR and vMOVR tokens as most of our DOT nad KSM tokens are locked on the validators to have some kind of proof of reserves available to our nominators.

Liquidity can depend on the state of the market and on the liquid staking initiatives.

thanks for this. in regards to vGLMR, and vMOVR - you have active nodes in both networks? i think it would be helpful to provide a separate application for MOVR / GLMR VBL proposal with the validator address for both networks includ. the liquidity angle like below.

Liquidity Contribution by VBL Applicant :
● Token amount provided to minting vToken: XXXXX Token
● Plan to provide vToken liquidity
○ Single token farming : : XXXXX Token
○ vToken - Token LP : XXXXX Token+XXXXX vToken

perhaps coming back more broadly to the resources around explaining liquid staking options to your users and community are you able to provide the following info:

  • Quantitative overview on your community (number of users / Geographical focus) : XXXXX / XXXXX
  • Brief breakdown of your channels (Blog, Twitter,Youtube, Telegram, etc.): for example.
    ■ Blog: XXXXX views / XXXXX members
    ■ Twitter: XXXXX followers (incl. Recent analytics on post)
    ■ Telegram: XXXXX members
    ■ Discord: XXXXX members
    ■ Youtube: XXXXX subscribers / XXXXX total views
  • how would you explain liquid staking options to your users - idea around format?
  • more details around initiatives you will to do within your community as part of this guide-educational initiative?

appreciate it.

@TPP as mentioned in the original post

we are a small independent validator and our resources and involvement are pretty much as described in the initial post. Our marketing reach is within our Kusama and Polkadot nominators. While we cant provide the services as professional staking services, we are aiding to decentralization and governance as the small independent validator

For the reasons above we cant provide the social media resources as our interactions are mostly direct messages to our nominators.

Regarding the liquid tokens of Moonbeam and Moonriver, we are not running the validators there as we cant meet the minimum staking criteria. However we are involved in network as the nominators and we can consider moving our stake from the native token to the liquid version on the Bitfrost. We have only applied for the Kusama and Polkadot SLP boost list:

thanks for this.

regarding your proposition of moving you stake from MOVR and GLMR to minting vMOVR and vGLMR - can you please provide some rough values to this in this format below:

● Token amount provided to minting vMOVR and vGLMR: XXXXX MOVR / XXXX GLMR
● Plan to provide vToken liquidity for MOVR and GLMR
○ Single token farming : : XXXXX Token
○ vToken - Token LP : XXXXX Token+XXXXX vToken

finally, in regard to your previous points about gladly adding and explaining the liquid staking option to your users-nominators. can you please provide some ideas as to how this would be done? educational content about liquid staking and bifrost staking liquidity protocol? would be good to have some proposal on this.

lastly, if you can perhaps include the lastest version of your application with all the points we have covered in the discussion thread in your next discussion post that would be great.

thanks again.
