Since Collator was launched on the mainnet on March 22, a total of 1,948,618 BNC have been bonded for a total of 40 Collators, including 16 active nodes and 24 candidates nodes.
Up to now, the Bifrost Kusama parachain is running well, and the block production is stable. In order to further expand the decentralization of the parachain network, this proposal was initiated to increase the active collator seats from 16 to 32.
After the proposal is passed, the total bonded top 32 collators will become active collators. If your collator meets the bond amount of the top 32, please ensure that it synchronizes blocks and the network connection is normal during the proposal effective period to ensure successful block production.
According to community discussions, considering the reward and stability of active collator, it is recommended not to initiate a proposal to increase the active collator seats to 64 in the short term.
